WELCOME TO LiMONCELLA

Where Culinary Magic Happens!

Welcome to Dish Craft Guide — I’m Sandra Okafor, and this is where cooking meets craft, creativity, and a whole lot of heart.

Our Story

Sandra was born New York, and moved to Toronto at age twelve with her family. The hardest part of immigrating wasn’t the cold winters — it was the absence of the familiar smells of her mother’s kitchen: egusi soup, jollof rice, and freshly fried puff-puff. Food became Sandra’s connection to home, and recreating those dishes in a Canadian kitchen with sometimes-imperfect substitutes became her first culinary education. As she grew, she began weaving together West African techniques with North American and European ingredients, creating dishes that told the story of her journey. She started Dish Craft Guide after her friends kept begging her to write down her recipes — especially after a legendary dinner party where she served coconut jollof risotto that left everyone silent with delight.

Our Philosophy

Sandra believes recipes are living things — they evolve, adapt, and improve with every cook who touches them. She encourages readers to see every dish as a creative project, not a rigid formula. Cooking, for Sandra, is the most delicious form of self-expression.
